Hi y'all,

I just found this fantastic website a couple of days ago...forgive me if this topic has been posted already...I did a search but couldn't find an exact answer to my question.

In the SETTINGS menu under MPD, there are 3 versions, 0.15.12, 0.16.8, & 0.17.2. Which is the correct setting or can any of the 3 be used?

There is a warning. "*These settings (above) should not be changed unless otherwse advised to do so."

Couldn't help myself, I see the warning as a chance to learn... so I changed to the latest, assuming it would be the best overall.

Any thoughts or info would be great!

You can always review the MPD release notes:

I would stick with the default version unless you noticed an issue that the above link addressed then sure give it a try.   Make sure to restart rebuild the database if you do upgrade.

The different versions support certain files differently and mostly effect support for wav, m4a and accessing files from a NAS.
