Since there's no activity on the thread, I sent the GAS group an email about this.

Hope that helps!

Bob

p.s. And as always, if you didn't get the GAS email, and want to, send me your name and email info.  :D

Is "Music Matters" a nationwide event?  My local audio store (Paradyme Sound and Vision in Sacramento, CA) is hosting an event of the same name on the same date. There is some overlap of manufacturers who will be presenting. I am curious if it is coincidence or a planned assault.

And if Music Matters is a nationwide event how can they have so many company representatives in so many places at once.  Is it like Santa's helpers?

Sacramento:
•AudioQuest
•B&W
•Classe'
•GoldenEar
•Integra
•McIntosh
•NAD
•Peachtree
•Paradigm
•Pioneer

I'm planning on being there since I work just down the street. Sounds like fun.

I only got to stay for the first two presentations. The first was the B&W 802D's with all Classe equipment. The second was Mackintosh driving Totem speakers. THe B&W's were impressive--very big soundstage, detailed down to the tiniest micro detail and scary dynamic. They did just about everything right. They could have used a larger room IMO. I could easily live with these speakers.  :green:

The Mac/Totem setup was less impressive but better suited to a smaller room. The Totem Elements's deep bass was outstanding for a speaker this size. Mids were nice. Highs not as clean and quiet as the B&W diamonds.

They had a good turnout and reps were there from B&W, Classe, Mac and Totem. A good time was had by all.  :thumb:
