Thanks.  It's no more.  I got it.

I got a mono cart at RMAF and was thinking of buying a second Graham Phantom arm wand and set it up so I can easily go back and forth between mono and stereo carts.  Well then I see this post.  The wand is $750.  The table is $500 if I use my E-bay bucks.  I am thinking.  I have an old Origin Encounter in storage that I hope can be fitted to the arm board with little modification.  I just ordered a new equipment rack that will hold 3 tables and I have been curious about a good DD TT since TCG raves about it so much.  Audio serendipity at work.  Who am I to fight it!

Voilà!  Done.

Thanks again.

 8)    Good luck with it.  The table looks like it has a lot of potential.  Reminds me of an SP10, or SP 15 the way it sits on the plinth. The details are gone now, but if I remember correctly the armboard is drilled at 222mm.  The Encounter is 223, I believe.  You might be able to drop it right in.  Just align with a conventional protractor - not an arc protractor.  You'll have an extra 1mm of room forward in the headshell.

A lot of DD fanciers think that quartz locked is better.  IMO, it's only better if it's a better table.  It can be implemented so the correction is too abrupt and actually sound worse (not naming any names), and there's nothing you can do about it.  If the pitch holds rock steady as the ad says, you should be good to go.  If it develops speed stability problems in the future, 9 times out of 10 you can fix it by cleaning the speed pots.  If the plinth is hollow you can fill it with modeling clay for a nice improvement.

Thanks for the info.  I am telling you there is serendipity at work here because I also picked up this mat which I wasn't sure where I was going to put.

Guy Sergeant from Pure Music in Devon, UK said the version he had at the show is made out of gunmetal even though it looks brassy.  It weighs good 4 lbs or more.  It should work on this unit if it works on SP10, right?  I figured I better grab one while I can since shipping from UK would definitely add to cost and he was willing to discount for good old US cash.  :thumb:
