Actually I have considered new speakers, but I like the general qualities of the B&W N805's - they are very open, and they disappear in the room sonically, and blend great with my sub. They truly don't have that boxy sound that many speakers do.
Since all of my listening is from CD's (including DVD's, DVD-A, and SACD) I thought it would be worthwhile to do something with the front end. I keep reading how important the source components are - it's finally making sense that the front end should be as good as possible. I think my CD source (and possibly my Denon reciever) are my weakest links in the chain - I'm fairly happy with my speakers and my Odyssey amp.
FYI, I've also considered getting a dedicated CD player, possible with upsampling etc., but that starts getting pricey quickly. I'm open to suggestions though, if this may be a better way to go....
