British Unified Screw Thread standards are (for the most part) the same standards for US and Canada. However, that doesn't mean that they are not using metric threads. If I were to guess, I'd pick that they would use a #6 screw and if it is an allen type setscrew, would be 5/64.
Have you actually looked at the head? Many of my tables have a slotted head on the set screw that simply requires a small screw driver.

No slot, and I was able to pickup a couple of metrics, they did not have any small american sizes on hand.
1.5mm is slightly to small while 2mm is too large so 5/64th won't work.
I am figuring 1/16", at 1.587mm, maybe just large enough to work.
Decimals, 1/16" is .0625 while 1.5mm is .0590
Now I have to find one.
