I'm going to THE show but would rather hear the Super V in a real world enviornment.  and of course reference some of the music that always brings a smile to my face.  After reading your posts I'm sure I can find many things I own and enjoy on your hardrive or collection.  I just installed a new set of speaker cables on the LS6.  While they aren't the SOTA they had been reveiwed to have the EQ effects and SQ I was looking to add.  I found them used and for an older cable they sound great.  Audioquest Chrystals.  Jeez 60 bucks with shipping was a sweet deal.  The guy has 2 more sets.  The soundstage is now more even across the room despite the TV between the speakers.  Instrument separation is clearly more defined and the stage is deeper.  I'm saving for a power conditioner and new amp.  In that order.
I think spending some time with you guys would help me finish the LS6 system and push me along down the road into some new gear.  It seems as though I'm not an early adopter.  I'm more a tried and listened to before I buy kind of person.

Bob, I'd like to meet and attend your events. I was only even aware of this group some months back when I purchased an amp from one of your members.

We won't turn anyone away  :thumb:

2nd try at this posting.

The get-to-gether is May 26th ~2:30PM to 10:00PM.

All are welcome. Bring your better half's or meet them here. Hope they like music and geeks.

We will provide sound, some food and refreshments. Help would be welcome in this area  :)

Bring your favorite DAC and music if you'd like. Our sources are an Oppo BDP-95 and possibly the EE minimax DAC which Scott has loaned us. We can play vinyl too. I'm hopeful to get other equipment from local dealers but don't count on it.

Meet your friends, share information, argue in a friendly manner, swim.

PM me for an address and if you're coming so we can freak out in advance.  :duh:

Impressive demonstration of what the Super V is capable.  It was a pleasure to hear these as they give a deeper presentation of music than I thought was possible.  We listened to some ultimate chill music from B-Tribe, some awesome space age rock from Shiney Toy Guns and some instrumental pieces from Antonio Lysg, Music from Argentina.  Antonio was in the room.  It caused me to really miss my turntable.  Michael was so kind to placate my curiosity and play my Massey Star CD and his Vinyl version as an A/B test.  On these Super V you could really hear a pronouced advantage going to the record player.  That extra depth and sparkle was there for all to hear.  Well I thought they were there.  I think a fresh bottle of wine had just opened and most were snacking and tasting.  It was just Michael and me.  On the album Aja from Steely Dan there are few speakers that can get the fast bottom end right.  The Super V's are one of them.  They are not a one trick pony but over the years that has always been a benchmark for me.  My magnapans could do it and the Super V's could too.  This was my first time to hear Servo Bass.  Open Baffle or otherwise.  If Rythmic ran for president on the Republican ticket I would change my vote.  Sorry Barack.  There was no room overload or bloat and the bass was faster than a speeding amphetamine.  There was more air around the bass notes if that even makes sense.   The mids and highs were equally as effortlessly dsplayed.  More on that at a later date  The guys from AC were the best.  It is always great to share a common history of equipment use and passion.  I'm thinking that I should join the BAAS if they'll have me.  It's only 15 buck to join and the passion for music runs deep with them.  Michael, thank you for the great afternoon.

See you in LA.

First off I want to give a hearty thanks for all that participated in GTG.  :thumb:

Really a great group of guys and gals who share a passion for music and the gear behind it.

I think the Super V's received some good press. They sang well on Saturday and even better Sunday afternoon with my cable mod. Sorry about that folks. I had no idea how much splitting 2 cables on 1 transformer messes with the sound. It's better all around now. I still anticipate the amps V-Cap performance to improve.

This weekend the wife and I will take our memory of our system and compare it to what the manufacturers have to offer at Newport Beach. We're hopeful to hook up with some of the AC folks and maybe find some BAAS folks trolling about. It will be our first weekend away from Jr.

One of the coolest aspects of having a GTG is the discovery of new music. I screwed up in 2 ways. I should have had a guest pad where folks signed in so that we could have a contact list and a notepad so that I might have written down some interesting music folks brought to the party. All I have is someone burned disc left at my monitor. Now who's was that? I think maybe Steve's?

OK let's do this again!  :banana piano:
