if there is going to be a positive change regarding sound quality and content quality, it is only gonna come from the bottom up this time. i simply see no interest from the "majors" in wanting to make anything better.  i am hoping, but i am not holding my breath.   8)

Well, let's see.

First there is Kiss and Motley Crue blaming Rhianna and other lip singers.
http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-the-presses/gene-simmons-tommy-lee-slam-rihanna-lip-syncing-165048764.html

Then there is Rhianna blaming Adele for being so depressing.
http://omg.yahoo.com/news/rihanna-adeles-music-depressing-234741025.html

Then the music industry is blaming us audiophiles.

I guess this is just all part of the blame game. The music industry is down, just like every other industry that's in the world. But I guess it is easier to blame others than it is to blame the economy.

It is sad that Adele, the top selling artist of today, cannot be produced sonically enough to play on an audiophile system.

But don't let us audiophiles blame the producers for that problem. That would be the ultimate sin.

Believe it or not, give Adele's "iTunes Festival: London 2011" live recording a listen. Phenomenal dynamic range and very well recorded.
