goes black ..... looks like a standby mode.
« on: 9 Dec 2011, 12:05 pm »
Internet Radio :
If the BDP-1 is left on a Radio Station for a short period of time, I have noticed that the front display for the BDP-1
goes black ..... looks like a standby mode.
Is the there some button that I can press so the display turns itself back on.
I do not want to have to press the power button because that will turn off the BDP-1.

Thoughts please Robert

Hi Robert,

Yes just push any input or change the station or song etc to refresh the display  - it is better that the display does not stay on all the time for life expectancy.

Robert, you can change the duration and intensity of the display, if you press, I think it is the left and up buttons a few times quickly. I keep mine on intensity 1 (lowest) and 10 sec timeout.

The SP3 does the same.  With just a nudge of the volume control, it comes back to life.  I like it this way since my components are in full view, in a dark room this is more desireable.
