Yes, several designs including the Verita, Prestigio, Cima, and the new Curva which uses a custom version I specified from RAAL. What kind of -3db point / bass extension do you want for the monitor?

Bass extension is not the greatest importance to me. Im considering acuton,scanspeak ans seas magnesium, but not exactly sure what each posses for midrange. I want something that can throw a large soundstage and that will be powered by a 30-40watts tube amp.

The 70-10D is used in the MA-1, Tre Supremo, and Tempesta which use smaller mids for the required higher crossover point. I thought you had purchased the Salk speakers? Looking to move up in performance?

Yes i have a pair of Songtower and Ascend sierra. Looking a set up for bedroom and want to step into Raal but im looking for a small monitor rather then a tower. Is the acutton midbass driver a good macth for the raal 70-20? What kind of midrange am i looking? Warm, cold, thin, analytical...??

There are a few different woofers that will work in a smaller sealed box. Do you have a budget range in mind?

Have not thought about budget. Want to get the best but not sure if that will translate best sonically.
I kinda prefer a warm side, but i think soundstage and the way a speaker disapear in a room is more important to me.

Scan-Speak has some woofers that will work well. We could do a smaller sealed version of the Grandeur for you. There's also a 5" woofer from them as well if you want a very compact cabinet.

  Not a bad design (in fact one could do much worse for the $) but something with the RAAL and a better woofer would be a step up, which is exactly what you would find in the Salk line, correct?

I would check out Accuton's site. They list potential sealed box alignments for their woofers. The 70-20XR can cross low enough for any of their 7" drivers. I still prefer the Scan-Speak in that size of woofer because they have better motors and suspensions.

the grandeur uses revelator scanspeak yet they are more expensives then veritas that uses more expensive iliminator driver.

I based the Verita pricing on the smaller sealed cabinet. Shipping is also less due to the smaller cabinet and since the price includes it that accounts for some of the difference. 2012 prices will increase though so now is a good time to buy.
