Hello,

I am looking for a couple transformers to use in a DAC.  Need one for digital stages and one for analog.  I am pretty sure I am looking for a toroidal design with separate screens for the primary and secondary sides.

Who makes the best quality out there?

I am located in Europe so really would prefer a European supplier.

I agree.  But my question is which manufacturer makes the best quality transformers.
 
I like Plitron and if I lived in he USA or Canada I think that is who I would go with.  But with shipping, VAT, etc.  - Kind of a hassle.

Since you are in Europe why not check out Trafomatic.
Supposed to make some pretty good transformers.

Some would say that Audio Note U.K. make the best quality transformers, while others might get upset if someone says that  . I guess you will have to decide for yourself. Audio Note makes transformers for the digital output of the transport, the digital input receiver of the DAC, the interstage I/V conversion,  and the analog output (step down). There are other transformers as well.
