RM30s - corner veneer
« on: 31 May 2005, 08:24 pm »
Has anyone had any issues with the corner veneer not being glued down quite right?  One of my RM30's has a one inch section of the corner wrap near the baffle that  didn't remain flush when built.  I've ignored it until now, but I'd like to see if I could heat up the adhesive and apply force to press it into place.

Anybody have any suggestions?  I was thinking of using a hair dryer to heat the adhesive, but I'm afraid I might damage the finish.

A cabinetshop should be able to fix the problem.  Why not send us a picture?

I didn't want to lug the speaker to a cabinet shop if at all possible.  Any idea what type of adhesive is used?  If I do take it in, I assume the 5 year warranty will cover the cabinet shop's fee?

I'll try and take a close up shot tomorrow afternoon when there is more light.

We will replace the cabinet under warranty if that is cheaper than a local fix.  Email the pix to vmpsaudio@AOL.com.
