Okay, I know the rules...no pics means it didn't happen!

But honestly, it looked just like any other turnip. But oh my, the flavor!

I've always liked turnips but I've never had one this freakin' good! All I did was peel it and slice it into 1/2" slices or so, then salt & seal with a bit of butter. Into the bath they went, 185
o F for 45 minutes. They were simply sublime! No trace of the mild "radish" taste you sometimes get, and the texture was remarkable. I was surprised by how delicate the flavor was. It really tasted almost like a potato.
The next step? To mash some!:thumb:
