I have 3 modded SBs of different flavors for sale....
1) ART-modified SB3 (silver, wireless) Dual transformer-coupled BNC digital outputs. Each output modified as noted in the thread to minimize "ringing" of the digital output. I'm not sure what else ART did to the unit but all mods were to improve the fidelity of the digital output.
(more info here:

$1752) ART-modified SB3 (silver, wireless) with a single BNC digital output, changes to the clock, removal of some electrolytics and a new PS for the clock. This mod requires an additional wall wart PS which is included). Same technology that Pat used in modofying a few SB3 went into his Legato converter. For more info see this thread:

SOLD3) Bolder-modified SB (silver, wireless) with Bolder digital mods and Bolder analog mods. Mods were done by Wayne a few years ago. The digital mod has the copper Bybee filter. The analog mod is what Wayne calls “near statement level”.

SOLD4) U-byte digital cable (16') - BNC connectors, for more info:

SOLD5) Bolder-modified (

SOLD I've used all 3 of these SB3's in my system and all are a major improvement over a stock SB3. I'd say if you're using an external DAC, option 2 or 3 are about equal to my ears and are an improvement over option 1. Option 1 is nice if you have a need for dual digital outputs and allows one to compare two different "optimized" isolation transformers. I have original boxes and remotes for the 3 SB3 units. Add $10 for shipping a SB3 or the PS and $5 for the U-byte digital cable. PayPal preferred or I'll accept checks/MO.
Any questions, PM me. Prices are negotiable. No need for this stuff siting around collecting dust. I'm finally selling my SB3 collection in order to fund a recent Transporter purchase.
