James? Cat Tolerance?
« on: 20 Nov 2010, 06:16 am »
James, my trusty 14B ST is still giving much pleasure. In our new house, the equipment layout has changed, and the cat has taken up residence on the amp. I suppose this blocks some of the airflow through the cabinet. Given that I don't push the amp very hard, is this likely to cause any problems with the amp?

Thanks!
Mike

It would be interesting to see if the warranty covers "hair ball" damage. :)

Thanks, James. The cat will be very happy. The B14 is his electric blanket.

Mike,

If you ever sell your 14B - I assume you can not advertise:  "from a pet free environment" :D

Got the same problem, you can place something like a small sculpture in the center or just pick them gently up by the scruff of the neck and give them a little speech.
At least the amps are pretty indestructible unlike my headphone boxes.

This guy and his friend prefer cooler places (because of their long hair and warm weather we're in), but should I somehow try to lightly vacuum their hair that might fallen into the inside of the amps?

Sure - a vacuum will not hurt the amp.  Turn it off first of course. :D
