SW-12B Sub Woofer ==> cut-out dimension
« on: 29 Jan 2011, 08:01 am »
What is the cut-out dimension for this driver?  I'm thinking of building a sub or maybe two for the midbass (50hz - 150hz) range.  I'm wondering if this driver is suitable for this project.  I had an old cabinet enclosure that was used for a 12" driver.  I want to know the dimension and the cut-out hole size for this driver to make sure if it will fit in the box.  Also, in case if I want to counter sink the driver, what size hole should I cut?

Thanks,

Al,

You will need an 11" through hole.

The outer gasket diameter is 12.625" and it takes .625" of depth to counter sink it.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately, it doesn't fit on my cab :(
