I'm having a local cabinet maker make me very simple pieces from veneer covered mdf.
These pieces will be about 1" wider than the speaker, and 2" deeper. They will have a lip on the front so the speaker can't slip off when angled down.
These will have an "eye" bolt in each corner. I will sink "eye" screws into the ceiling joists and then attach the eye bolts to the eye screws with nylon ribbon. I can adjust the angle by the lengths of ribbon.
So basically I will have a flat piece of wood with a lip on the front and eye bolts on each corner.
Should be very easy and effective. Total cost of the project will be in the $50-60 range
