There is a post in the Market Square section of Audio Circle from Nathan at Eighth Nerve. He says he can still get the SA-XR45, although at a higher price than J&R.

I think J&R was pretty straight with me when I dealt with them.  The first time I called I was told that they had none in stock, 10 backordered by customers, and 60 on order.  I had an option to place a backorder and be number 11, but I declined.  The next time I called (2/5) they had "just a few left in stock", so I ordered and received it yesterday (2/12).

I just called. That is Hyp Audio. I was halfway through ordering it on the phone when I dialed them in here:

and stopped in my tracks. I guess it's not quite worth that high a risk for me. They claim they do have it in stock, however.

Yikes, don't purchase from Hype Audio.  A few months back when AudioJerry was looking to buy some Yamaha subs, he mentioned that he didn't exactly have a pleasant experience dealing with them.

I guess I was lucky.  I found the site.   http://www.dealznet.com/letsgodigital/saxr45.html I Googled and found a few sites that said they had them but didn't know how many.   This was the only company that would tell me how many they had in stock.  In reality there are probably 100 different sites that ship from one main distribution center.  Again, I guess I lucked out

There e-mail service was good the 1st time I tried. . .they replied w/in an hour. . .talking to people is so 1996.
