I used 22m veneer from Oakwood.  They have a huge selection.  The 22m paper backed Veneer has advantages of being easy to trim with a Veneer saw for perfect edges, is still flexible, and it is less apt to sand through prior to applying any finish.

I bookmarked this seller based on a recommendation from this forum, but haven't used him.

I've used 10-mil paper-backed for many years.  I've bought almost exclusively from Tape-Ease, but recently a customer wanted samples and after two weeks following my request, I called TE and the guy found the package and said he'd send it next day.  I asked him to ship it to the customer, and over a week later, the customer said: "no samples".  Couple of days later, the samples arrived and they were incomplete and very small.
I contacted Sal at Monster WoodShop in of all places, Brooklyn, NY.  NICE guy - sent me several 8 x 10 samples immediately and has no minimum order:

I also contacted Formwood and they sent me several 8 x 10 samples immediately. Also, no minimum # of sheets order:

Thanks for all the replys. I thought I would post a pic of what i bought. I bought it from Herzog, 36 sqft. It came in a bundle of 32 consecutive pieces about 5.5" X 30". I bought it becouse it was inexpensive and I had enough to learn how to veneer. It shipped for $41.

I use both but prefer raw veneer
