Ripper heat sinks
« on: 25 Feb 2010, 03:15 am »
I'm collecting parts for a Ripper half kit, but I can't find the heat sinks at Digi-Key, no records match the search criteria. Any suggestion for a suitable heat sink?

Thanks in advance,

jules

Conrad heat sinks in Australia. They seem to be used world wide and there's quite a choice

Hi, Jules,

I'll try to buy all parts from the same supplier, the problem is there is no heat sink at Digi-Key with the part number indicated in the ripper kit manual (HS224). Possibly it's a discontinued item, I don't know.

Thank you anyway!

Best regards,

Hi Fredo,

so it's a small sink for a specific purpose. If you don't get an answer here maybe you need to send an email to Hagerman.

If you've got a photo it might be possible to get some suggestions for an alternative.

I ran into the same problem, so I just ordered the same one used in the chime (HS372-ND) - it has the same footprint, and if it's too tall I'll just cut it off with a hacksaw.

Added to my bill of materials.

Thank you, schubert!

For the record - HS372-ND fits just fine.
