Bryston SP 1.7 Turn Off Issue

Bryston SP 1.7 Turn Off Issue

Does anyone who owns a SP 1.7 have the same issue as I do? About 80% of the time, when I switch it off, the unit does not power down. I have to do it with the remote. It always turns on using the switch but it's spotty turning off. Was looking for a quick fix without having to send it in. Also, why is it doing this?

The power switch and the dynamic range switches on the front panel are quite poor. Better quality switches should have been chosen here IMO. Mine are both intermittent and I have this problem also. I just use the remote.

My switches work fine. I have an upgraded SP-1 to SP-1.7. I can't remember if they used new switches during the upgrade.
