Some critics regarding Questions and Support

I thought long time if I should make it public or not ... Finally I do it. No reason for apologies or bad feelings I think. This is the Nuforce Circle and for what else is this section here if we can not talk open about things that concern us.

I think that casey sometimes don?t listen carefully to support inquiries. Jason on the other hand cut the dialog with me through the hint that I shouldn?t tell long stories. Whatever was going on in him or what a bad day he might had - I think this is not the right way to handle with customer?s concerns. :nono:

My concern (and believe me I try to tell it as short as I can):
My IA-7 V3 had a small temporarilly fault with the lights. The lights didn?t go off when I switched off the amp with the remote/or Input knob. Several Switchings the amp on / off didn?t make any difference:
the lights were always ON. This was the situation until I switched the main switch on the back panel off. Waited 1 day and switched the main switch ON. All O.K. the amp works fine including the lights.

After some days:
A friend of mine brought another powercord and we wanted to test it with my Nuforce. When I switched the main switch ON - a short flash of the amp lights appeared and dissapeared. If I remember right: usually this flash doesn?t appear when switching the main switch ON.
So I switched the main OFF and again ON. This time no flash. My friend also noticed that, too.

When I told this curious thing to casey he just told me that "the LED flashes a few times, this is part of factory design, showing that the micro controller is working."

Did he listen to me seriously ? I am telling about two different appearances . ONE OF THEM cannot be intended.

Till now the amp works fine without any light faults again but please don?t sell me customer as a fool.

My apology if we did not present the correct impression.

Nuforce preamp such as P9, P8, and IA7 (IA7 uses P8 preamp circuit) flashes the display/LED 4 times whenever the AC power is being reset.  If the AC power is reset in a very fast manner, such as Off/On/Off without a break, there may be un-intended consequence, as the micro-controller was in a standby mode, and it's being 'shocked'.  Just like pulling out the AC power off your PC may result in Windows completely crashing by chance.

To be safe and consistent, please wait 30-sec before each on/off cycle with these products.

A temporary hung-up on the CPU is not impossible, so in a bad day, or the On/Off cycle has been too abrupt, there may be partial reset of the memory that resulted in some unexpected scenario, with a proper reset (such as Off for 1 minute), and turning it on, the CPU will clear everything by itself, like a computer rebooting.  So it should really not be a concern unless the issues is highly repeatable then we may determine something else could go wrong.

Regards,

Casey

I think I didn?t hurry up the things while this action.
This LED flash could also appear the first time when a powercord is connected. Should not matter if the amp was powercordless for 10, 30 secs or 30 days I think. After the powercord connection and the first Flash maybe the amp should be switchebable ON/OFF/ON  several times without any flash. If you disconnect the power cord and connect it again the flash should appear again. Didn?t make further tests.

But the first concern is still a bit strange. It happened surprisingly without any change of the system. This could (I am not sure) depend on the HF waves OR the "bad look" of a friend of mine who saw and listened to the amp. The next day the amp showed this curiosity. I think you won?t believe that. Don?t know if this destroying "bad look" exist in your culture ...
As I said to you - as long as it doesn?t appear again I make not any worries about it.

Still a very good sounding amp and on balance I am pleased with your support.

We are suffering from growing pain in the past 2 months.  Sales have exceeded our expectation due to the launch of many new products. We are all overworked and this holidays sales spike and upgrades keep coming  :duh:

Please bear with us as we try to hire new staff and put in place new processes. Unfortunately we can't fix it quickly.
