Greetings to all.
This is my first post.
Since we finally own a home of our own, I am seriously preparing to upgrade my audio system.
I have been doing extensive reading on speaker reviews.  Klipsch, Polk, Paradigm, and of course, Salk.
My listening room is 20 x 20, with wood flooring, panelled walls, and a cathedral ceiling.  Probably not the ideal acoustic environment...
I am very interested in the Song series of speakers, but want to be sure they would be right for this type of room.
I will be using them for both music and home theater.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.  In the meantime, I am going to crunch some numbers!
Thanks in advance!
Casey

Welcome to the forum.  Depending on how loud you want to listen the salks will be fine, even they will get to loud in a room that size.

My room has similar characteristics but with carpet flooring. I have the SongTowers with the ribbon tweeter and am very happy with the audio performance. I have a solid state and tube setup and switch back and forth. The SS setup is a Yamaha 2700 receiver with three Outlaw monoblocks (about 400 watts into 4 ohms). The tube unit is an old Eico ST-70 putting out about 30 watts per channel. In either configuration, I can play my music to ear-bleed levels. I also have an M&K sub that I can include in the SS playback whenever I want a bit of extra bass.

While I don't think you would be disappoint in the SongTowers, you should try to set up a local audition so you can judge their performance for yourself.

lol

I am using M&k with my new speakers. It does pretty good as long as I tune it in carefully and keep the db down at thx reference or below.

I really would like to have 2 new subs built by the master just for music.
