VSA Home Theater

Hi fellow VSAddicts,

I am looking to incorporate my Unifield 3s into a 5.1 channel system. Since VSA surrounds and center channel are hard to come by, I'd appreciate suggestions for best brands that work well with the VSA fronts. Recommendations for "audiophile" quality surround sound processor/amps are also welcome.

Thanks,
Arun

Hi Arun,

I have an Integra preamp/processor:

Integra is to Onkyo what Lexus is to Toyota.  It is very good stuff, pretty darn close to audiophile quality (whatever that is).  I run mine with B&K 5 channel, 200w per CH amp and it's great.  My front speakers are all Martin Logan and the center is the Cinema.  Not sure how it would marry with VSAs but I can honestly say it does an amazing job with vocals.

Hi Arun,

To complete your surround speakers think about:

VSA Unifield One or Two as rear and the Unifield Center.

Thanks Gavin, yup, Integra is an amazing "value for money" processor and great deals are to be had all around. I'm also looking into the Marantz AV8003/MM8003 combo. As for speakers, I'll try to audition the MLs in a surround system sometime. Wish I had grabbed those VSA TS-150s when I had the chance!

Hi Cor,

By Unifield center, do you mean Unifield 1 as the center channel? Not sure thhe Unifield 1s were out yet. What is the retail on those?

Thanks,
Arun

Hi Arun,

Look at the link;

The Center in the pictures is a very special one.
