Wall bracket for sealed HT1's
« on: 5 May 2009, 02:48 am »
I'd like to have the flexibility of putting some sealed HT1's on the wall or on a bookshelf.  Does anyone have a suggestion for this?  I've asked Jim but he did not have a suggestion for the wall mount of the sealed HT1.  If I cannot find the wall mount then I am going with Song Surrounds.  Thanks for your help.

I used B-Tech BT77 to mount Song Surrounds but they are not sturdy enough to hold them. One of my speakers slipped out of the mount and damaged the speaker cabinet  :x.
Just sharing my experience so be careful when mounting. Ask Jim if he can drill an eye hook in the speaker cabinet so that it can be tied down.

How much do they weigh?  Are they the same shape as the HT-1?  Do you mind drilling holes in the back?

I don't have any sealed HT1's at the moment and, therefore, do not know the weight.  They are 9" wide, 15" tall and 15" deep.  I would gues they weigh 35 pounds.  So the BT-77 will not work.

As for the BT-77 with SongSurrounds, I have a pair of very similar MBOW1's in my shop in a high vibration area and they have been hanging there for about 4 years - no problem.  We have quite a few other customers who use this clamp as well and seem to be very happy with it.

Jim built some sealed HT-1's for me that had a great way of mounting them on the wall.  They would only walll mount though as the back is unfinished.
