Here are my new OB.

Top part is single 5" fullrange running by iself and augmented with goldwood.

The rest is 10" Eminence Lil Buddy, B&C DE10 / ME10 drivers/horns and 18" goldwood.  Crossover is 2nd order per econowave thread at audiokarma:

Is this so you can have two different systems in one speaker?

My DE10/ME10 arrived yesterday, I hope to take some measurements this weekend. How do you like that combination? I was running a BMS CD on the 1086 horn for the last year, and decided to try this tweeter/horn combination in the hopes of being able to achieve better crossover integration. The >3" acoustic offset difference between midrange and tweeter was more than I could handle.

X,
Very cool solution.  I sometimes want to get back to single driver but room for multiple sets of speakers is always an issue.  I really like what you have come up with, great job!

Best,
Ed

Thanks Ed.   I've always like single driver and with the goldwood - they are now even more enjoyable.  I could not do this without the articles from MJK - Many thanks Martin !!!!

freddyi, i dont have test equipment to test.  first, i crossed them at 1200hz 2nd order per econowave guide instruction at audiokarma;  though lately i've been running them with just a 1.3mh and preferred it this way.  they are really nice  - better than anything i've ever had.

CooL! - your woodwork looks great - there should be plenty of bass - more woofer magnet would not be as good
- H-baffle in extermely cramped space with GW1858 - almost level from 100 to 30Hz - other trace is an inverted tapped horn in a corner

freddyi:

Very interesting measured response of GW-1858 in the H-frame!  I assume this is without a passive crossover such as used by Martin King here http://www.quarter-wave.com/Project08/Jordan.pdf.  If so, MJK's modeled response for the system is impressively similar to what you measured.

any particular thoughts on the sound of Eminence 10"?  Was concerned about the audibility of their resonance ~2kHz.

They sound excellent after break in (took a long time.)  I went back to 2nd order on the woofer at 1200hz per econowave schematics. Did not hear any resonance.
