Neo-1X vs Neo-2X - Which is better?

Which speaker is better, the Neo-1X or the Neo-2X? I know they both use the same deep back Neo tweeter but the Neo-1X uses a 5-1/4" woofer in a vented enclosure and the Neo-2X uses a 6-1/2" woofer in a sealed enclosure. I haven't listened to either one, but from what I have read they are both reported to be excellent sounding speakers. My question is does one sound or perform any better than the other assuming they are used with a subwoofer?

This is true.

I's say that they sound more alike than different. Technically the ported Neo-1X plays a little lower, unless you build the Neo-2X into a small ported floor standing speaker. However, in room responses taken in my room show that the ported Neo-1X doesn't play too much lower than the sealed Neo-2X.

I'd have to say that the sealed box Neo-2X has a little tighter and more well controlled bass and is more ideal for a small room if using it with a sub, especially one of our direct servo subs. That is a killer combo.

I haven't heard the Neo1's, but the Neo2X matched up well in an Austin get together last summer with a custom (and much more expensive) kit from another designer, and even approximated (when matched with 2 of Danny's Servo subs) the sound of Danny's highly acclaimed OB7.
