jeez, what a geek! talk about shooting myself in the foot!

i emailed jon lane, the usa distributor for swan, about the auction he presently has running, on another pair of m1.2's he dug up outta his warehouse. (this auction has awreddy reached my asking price):
http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/auc.pl?spkrmoni&1067044361his ad sez these are wood, so i queried him if these were really wood, or the same winyl finish that i ended up with. he said these are in fact a wood veneer (not the solid hardwood per the auction - he yust told me he's gonna issue a correction to the ad.) he said that mine have to be veneer also - he's never seen m1.2's imported w/winyl. when i told him how smooth the finish is, he agreed - his are the same way, but he said mine gotta be wood - in fact, it's the winyl w/pseudo-texture, & that the swans/hi-vi speakers veneers are polished smooth as glass.
so, all this time, i've been trying to sell my real-wood-veneered speakers, as winyl-clad!?!

well, mebbe that's why i haven't been able to move 'em - perhaps i will have better luck, now!
re: francisco's swan's, i imagine they *are* awesome, & i'd really like to hear them - the hi-vi drivers are certainly sweet. if someone went thru the m1.2's x-overs & replaced the parts w/audiophile-grade caps, inductors, etc, i'm sure these would also be smokin'. and, w/their 90db/1w efficiency, they're an easy load for amps...
