Lapsan,
I assume you have the speakers firing down the length of the room, meaning they are placed somewhere along the 12 ft wall?  My system link is in my signature below and shows my Revs.  My room is 15.25' x 22.75' so somewhat wider and squarer than yours, but no problem.  Start with the Revs about 2 feet away from each side wall, and toe them in considerably, so the line they make to your ears is either crossing 2 ft behind you to as severe as 2 feet in front of you (I use a laser level and use the side of the speaker that is to the inside, i.e right side for left speaker, etc.).  The severe toe-in will help break up any side wall issues and will create a wonderful soundstage.  The more toed-in, however, the more the sweetspot narrows for one listener or two.  Common knowledge is that waveguides image the best when fired right at you, so start there and move a few inches until the center becomes mono line source.

As for your front wall (the wall in front of you, behind the speakers) I 'd move the speakers out a good 5 feet or so (measured to front of speaker cabinet).  And try to be symmetrical if you can (within a half an inch, if possible).  Each room is different, so these are very very rough starting points.  Others will argue about the toe-in, especially, but with such a narrow room you are best to try this first.  ( Of course if you are placing them on the 30 ft wall, then we start over.  :)  ).  Also, make sure the distance from side wall and front wall aren't the same; lower frequencies will appreciate it.

Ah, yes, the "adding plants behind Revs to increase WAF" strategy!  It works!  :)

Maybe you could sneak some of these stealth bass traps in. "Yes dear, as a matter of fact, they are beautiful plants"  aa  http://www.realtraps.com/p_planter.htm

GIK has some really nice coffee table and end table traps too.  Worth a look.

Lapsan,
I have seen your ad for the Digital Amplification (Amplifier?) Co. 4800 amp- I had the pleasure of having a DAC Cherry here for several weeks and got to power the SPTech Minis with it.
I though it was a great combo and many who heard it remarked that it was the best they had ever heard the Minis sound  :thumb:
Slightly different time$ and I'd scoop that DAC up. (Ever bring a cat to the animal ER on a Sunday? almost $500!)

Wondering if you got a chance to try the 4800 on your new SPs? If you don't like it full range, I have no doubt it would be killer on the woofers.

Best of luck with those great speakers!!  Keep us informed, OK?

Bob recommended very little toe-in for my revelations.

Hey, Mike...  How about buying Lapsan's amp and I can upgrade it for you to "Cherry level" on the cheap???  Thanks for the complements.

well, after some listening with spectron amp and DAC 4800A amp,i decided to keep DAC amp.i didn't realize how good this amp is until i have both amps to compare. They're both have alot power, the mid sound about the same, the separation of the instruments give that to DAC,the high is about right with DAC but spectron seem a little bright for me.the bass on the DAC is fast and tight .the spectron is fast and go a little lower then the DAC .the Image is about the same .in the end i like DAC a little better with my AVA T8 pre amp.the spectron probably go better with another pre amp. :thumb: :thumb:
