Is it safe to use metal standoffs to mount the Cornet2 board to the chassis?  Are any standoff mounting holes connected to any part of the circuit on the circuit board?  I ask because I found continuity between the standoffs and the R200 leg after mounting the board to the chassis.  Would that continuity cause a short?  I want to make sure before I connect power.  Thanks.

It is ok to use metal standoffs.  But you'll want to use an insulating washer to make sure you won't break through the solder mask and short to the ground plane.  I like the nylon standoffs because they seem to have better anti-microphony damping properties.
