Double Ugly,

I am interested in your thoughts as you get to spend more time with the Spectron, please keep us advised. I need to get my new speakers and then I'll start the quest. Right now I have a Classe CA-300 and to be honest it's a pretty darn nice sounding amp. I'll try the Classe on my new speakers first and
who knows, maybe I'll love it...problem solved! Yeahhhh...right.  Anyway, thanks to everyone for their thoughts on the issue.

I'll try to remember to do so, John, but it sounds like you're pretty well set. 

I don't recall having heard the CA-300, but it has a stellar reputation.  I'm sure the Musician III SE sounds different, but better?

If your new speakers are what I think they are, you don't need the extra power (how much better can dynamics be?!?  how much air do you want to move?!?), and I suspect the pairing with sound fabulous.
