I was given a link to an old isite on here as I am intending to mod my AL700P.  The thread had a link to Vinni Rossi at 6moons who had completed a battery conversion for this amp. The link no longer works and I wondered if anyone else had the information or knows of a link to get the information.

There was also an old site covering internal mods to this amp.  Is it still here ?

Hi Puffin,

So far as I can tell, old pages at RWA are not archived....

Before I picked up one of Vinnie's modded Teacs I did gather some stuff and still have the links -

Three threads here on AC -

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=16230.0

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=11728.0 this one is very long

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=19373.0

And another site with Teac mods (though no battery stuff)

http://www.tommytube.com/Teac-tripath/a_tour_inside_the_teac_a.htm

I also have a word document which contains a description of Vinnie's mods (cut from someones post here so you may come across it), If you pm me you email address I will send it to you.

I notice you are in UK like me - there doesn't seem to be any easy way to get hold of this stuff over here, and although we are a long way apart (i'm in Lancashire) if you want to hear the RWA Teac we could perhaps arrange something.

Jim, a million thanks.  I will send you a PM as I would like a copy of Vinnie's mods.  I am in Surrey on the borders of W.Sussex and N.Hants. I might take you up on you offer sometime.  At the moment I am having a lot of fun modding and re-modding Sonic Impacts.  A good home made linear power supply takes them to another level.. The Teac has sat dormant since I picked it up a few months ago.

I have carried out all the mods that I can to the AL700, new caps on amp board, by-pass cheap pots on back and up-graded the main smoothing caps on the SMPS.  I read that Vinnie Rossi took the 24v power in to the relevant pins on the Tripath chip.  Does anyone know which pins these are ?

The link from the old thread on here to what appeared to be information posted by Vinnie no longer works.
