I think he likes it!  A bit expensive for my tastes, though.

The JVC is probably the most anticipated PJ in recent memory.  If it's half as good as he claims it a real bargain even at that price.

Projector Central just posted theirs too:

While it may not be the perfect projector, it seems like it gives you great bang for the buck if the reviews are any indication.

That looks sweet.  Outta my price range and to soon for replacement for me.  But, makes happy to see that I will be getting a huge leap in ressies next time.

I'm at the bottom of the AVS pre-order list for this projector and it has already shipped to people at the top of the list. I should be hearing soon. I'm still not certain whether or not I'll buy it because my present projector is fine. I suppose I could sell my Panny 900. The reviews really put the JVC projector into a new league.

The reviews do place the JVC into a new league.  The only negatives I've seen posted (which may not be negatives, depending on your point of view) are whiter corners (for a few), lack of a color management system, and no access to the hidden menus used for color/greyscale (the latter I'm not so sure about; this was talked about prior to the release).

Supposedly, the pre-buy was a good deal.  From all accounts, the JVC would be much better than the Panny. You'd have to upgrade to Blu-ray, HD-DVD, then!

I'm sure it's a great PJ, but I'm going to wait it out.  2 or 3 years tops and that kind of quality will be sub $1k, with long-life cheap bulbs and widely adjustable brightness.    Until then I can live with the PJ I have.  No hi-def signals here anyway.

I'm in the same boat on this one. Will wait another couple of years and then pounce!
