anyone compared the response audio Bella Extreme 3205 mk2 to the Bizzy Bee Tad-60 tube amp?
both are 60 watts and pretty close in price.  which one would be better at driving 8 ohm 87 db. speakers?

I won't be able to offer any comparisons, but if all goes as planned, I'll be listening to the Response 3205 through my 86db 4-7 Ohm Vandersteen 2ceSigs on Tuesday.  If you think it would be any help, I can let you know how the 3205 managed them when I get back from Endicott (home of Response Audio).

Do you have an impedance curve of your speakers?  How about phase curve?  Sensitivity isn't all there is to know.  How loud to do you like to play?  How big of a room?

my room is 12x15x8 i listen maybe no more than 75-80 db most of the time.
i don't have any plots on the speakers will have to check to see if there are any out there.

I have the TAD-60 with 86 dB 8 ohm speakers in a room larger than yours and there are no issues.

again, the 86 sensitivity doesn't tell the whole story...impedance and reactance play just as much if not more a role in whether x watts is enough.

Marvin, you should get a pair of Lamm ML2.1's so we can all hear what they sound like!
