Well, its a start.

I have to say that speaker is one I lusted after for some time, after hearing them being tuned by Arnie at the Sound Factor in Encino, many, many years ago.

But that said, after hearing the RM v60's, there is little doubt that you will have another speaker to hold onto for another 20 years.

Hopefully I will find someone that would like to take these off of my hands so I can step up to the V60s as I plan to.  I would love to keep both, but I just don't have the room, and I have to learn to let things go sometime :).  I tend to be a keeper of things, be it cars, audio etc.  I take such good care of things that they tend to last forever, as such I end up keeping them forever :).  That is not always a bad thing, but now it presents a problem with me trying to transition over.

Is there any word on when some VLAs will be built, tested and photographed?  In theory they read to be the ultimate choice.  I am still on the fence on which way I want to augment the V60, the twin VSS, or a single VLA with plans on adding a second later on.

For those opting to use a single sub in their systems, be it the V60 or any other, how would that be connected in with the mains?  Would a summed line level signal to mono out of a preamp be sent to that woofer amp (since it is powered)?  If so and assuming one was using Y cables off of a preamp to feed to entire system, how does one combine L + R out of that preamp to go to that sub and not have that interfere with the separate L + R signals going to each of the main speakers from the other side of these Y cables?  Wouldn't combining one side of those Ys turn the entire output to mono?

I beleive the VLA cabinets are coming in the shipment of cabinets next month.  B, could answer that better when he is back in action.

I think generally you would take (or create via Y-cables) L&R line outs from the preamp and run it to the amp on the VLA.  It then sums the channels.

I have never heard of that affecting the other channels.
