Recommendation of a tape to DVD program
« on: 24 Oct 2006, 01:02 am »
I am in need of some recommendations for a computer program to record my VHS-C tapes to DVD via my computer. I have tried CameraMate "Easiest Video Ever" and it seems to downgrade the video quality.
Thanks. :D

Well you can use something like a Canopus card/box to convert the analog video/
audio to DV via Firewire and save to a large drive. Then use a DVD authoring
program and DVD drive to create DVD's OR you could buy a Panasonic (or equiv.)
HD DVD recorder and record to HD - do some simple edits and output to DVD.

Thanks Jeff. I don't know that much about this type of computer stuff, but I am checking out your suggestion with my computer geek son.

Has anyone tried this program?  "Easy Media Creator #8 or the newer version #9 Suite". I can get the 8 for around $40 and the 9 for around $80.
