CD Sleeves that fit inside carboard CD holders
« on: 20 Oct 2006, 05:31 pm »
I hate the cardboard "digipak" cd packages because of what I fear they do to CDs.  I have a few Japanese imports that have a inner sleeve that is made out of cloth (?) and some that have a plastic sleeve.  Both types readily fit inside of the packaging.  All of the sleeves that I have found on the internet and in stores don't fit inside the packaging because the have paper or cardboard around the outside.

Anyone know where I can find sleeves that fit inside existing CD packaging?

Just slightly bigger than a CD, ~ 5" x 5"

Ah, ok. Then these should work:

Tyvek CD Sleeves

The ones on the bottom with no flap. They're 4-7/8" x 5".

Thanks, I think I will actually try the ricepaper sleeves, they are a little cheaper and it reminds me of what my high quality vinyl was packaged in

Heheh. I know exactly what you mean.

By the way, who's selling the ricepaper sleeves? Don't recall ever coming across those back when I was looking for sleeves.

Same place you recommended, the're actually polyethylene (sp?) and just called Disckeeper Ricepaper sleeves, but they are only $3.00 for a hundred.  You can find them near the end of the plastic sleeve section.  The only pissy point for me is that they want $5.00 to ship the $3.00 item

Know what you mean. Ordered a couple of brad point drill bits recently for $1.75 each. Shipping was $6.99.
