bugle power caps
« on: 18 Sep 2006, 10:45 pm »
Hi there,
Just finished my power supply for the bugle and am wondering: can i just remove c7,8,10,11 and leave the switch on (I put a switch on the PS)?
If so, how much of the battery 'wings' can i chop off safely?
Any help would be appreciated.

You can remove C7 and C8.  Bypass the Bugle power switch with jumpers (I think there is a drawing in the PowerSupply manual).

Remove all of the battery wings.  All the way up to the outlines of the EQ capacitors.  Sometimes it helps to leave a little extra to drill a mounting hole.

Um, whatever the electrolytics are.  They come off when you chop the battery wings.
