Normally they can't be. It need to go between a preamp and the power amp.

Hi Sailender,

The DCX2496 can be used in the tape loop of your integrated amp, if it has one. Many current integrated amps do not feature a tape loop.

Solution given by zybar on: 7 Nov 2009, 12:01 PM

"Your source goes into the DCX and the output of the DCX goes into the RWA integrated.  Basically treating the RWA as a power amp.

Depending on the cables being used, you might xlr adapters as I don't believe the RWA gear has balanced connections.'

Solution given by Raindrop audio Singapore for Marantz SA11S1 CD Player +Signature 30.2 integrated

"The output of the the Marantz SA11S1 CD Player is 5V RMS balanced, high enough to go directly into the crossover without needing gain from a pre-amp. The output from the crossover can go into the Signature 30.2 integrated which is a great match with the CS3. This setup is very cost effective. However one cannot add other sources."
