Not sure what has changed, nothing intentional that is for sure, but when my PC boots, Slimserver fails to start up, it just hangs there in my tray, saying that it is starting...

Any ideas?

I just had this problem. Not sure what caused it or how I really fixed it. I was having trouble with some viruses and my system was doing some weird things. Once I got the system ok, slimserver would just hang on starting. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 or 4 times. That didn't seem to fix it. My wife said let me look at it(I was a little skeptical about her being able to fix it). She cleaned up all my temp files. The next time I started slimserver, it started right up. I reinstalled slimserver, and it works again.

But I have had to upgrade to 6.3.1, and firmware 55, vs the firmware 15 I was using before - this matters to me, since version 15 inverts phase, as does my Bolder modded SB3, so short term I have resorted to swapping the + and - leads of my speaker cables, but I will have to sort out that version 15 thing later on.

You can use my firmware selector to easily put v15 firmware in place.

Thanks Mike, I will try to sort out IF the 6.3.1 version of Slimserver will allow the use of V15 firmware - when I rebooted the SB3, it forced an update of the firmware.

I had been using a previous version of Slimserver, that did allow the use of V15, and would seek to return to that.

Does anyone know where I can download an older version?

Thanks Mike, I am likely not explaining myself well.

V15 I have, and where it should be in the directory.

The current version of the Slimserver s/w that sits on my PC does not work with V15 firmware in the SB3...

Ahh, I see what has happened here.

I had to reinstall Slimserver, for whatever reason.  I installed the latest version, which realized an older version of the firmware for the SB was in place, and forced an update of that.

Subsequent use of the s/w that mgalusha distributed, has me running V15 firmware on my Bolder modded SB3, using the latest Slimserver s/w for my PC.
