Interesting.
If I recall correctly, you auditioned a pair of new, unbroken-in Continuums. Bob doesn't believe his speakers need more than 3-4 hours of break-in time, and he probably felt they were close to being full-up rounds after an hour or so. That's too bad, because Bob is wrong, and his assertions to that effect give people the idea they're hearing the best his speakers have to offer. Not a great way to build a customer base.

No offense intended, but unless you heard a well-worn pair of Bob's speakers, you didn't hear what they're capable of. I know, because I've been there/done that with his speakers more than once. I don't doubt it was decent, but as someone who is more familiar with actually
listening to SP Tech speakers than their creator, I know from experience that an SP Tech speaker with 300 or more hours on it will sound much better than one that doesn't.
Furthermore, according to Bob, his latest (and hopefully, last) tweaks to the crossovers were revelatory. They involve things he tried early on, but had to abandon because he couldn't get them to work quite the way he wanted. Apparently that's no longer the case. He now says the entire MRS line is *MUCH* easier to drive, and that their performance is significantly improved. He tells me I'm in for a surprise.
As no one besides Bob and his crew has heard these changes, we shall see. I will post my findings after the 2.1s return from Indiana.
