Odyssey Speakers And HT

I am building a HT system for a friend (who is NOT an audiophile). The receiver has will be a Pioneer with 110 Watts into 8 Ohms. I am considering the Odyssey speakers (Nightengale and Nemesis) for this set up. I have two questions with this:
1) Would these speakers work well for a person who is only into the HT aspect? I am seriously wondering if some run of the mill speakers at BestBuy would be a better fit.
2) Would the 4 Ohm impedence be a problem for the Pioneer receiver?
Thanks, John

For me if you use Odyssey speakers sooner or later your friend will become an audiophile... It is impossible not to listen the difference.
Considering a HT setup has a sub I think you will have no problem, if your friend is bass hungry.
The 4 Ohm situation, that can be a potential problem.

Hi,
The Odyssey speakers are ok and as Eduardo say, sooner or later your friend will be an audiophile !!!
The Pioneer is not a good idea for 4 ohms impedance speakers. Better try with NAD (773 or 763) or Marantz (7500). Some friends in Europe use Dynaudio speakers (4/3 ohms) with NAD and Marantz receivers with excelent results.

Not sure what your budget is, but the Nightingale, Nemesis and Khartago could be the start of great system, if he has pre-outs from his reciever.
I would also think about the Epiphany monitors if he is going to use a sub anyway.
