Just thought I'd pass this info along

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16833127143

$43 before $25 mail in rebate for D-LINK wireless router.  I have never gone wrong with D-LINK, and I have had a lot of their gear through the years.

If you have long range/multiple floor issues, it might be worth spending the extra $$ to get the MIMO version of the D-Link for $101 less $30 rebate.

yeah, you are likely right that this isn't the SOTA product and it doesn't include a broadband router, which I find indespensible but it would be a cheap way to get your feet wet if you haven't already.

For standard G, the D-link you gave is a good choice, especially at that price.
It does include the router function.

NewEgg does a pretty good job on rebates, too.

I got a wireless 802.11b USB nic for $26 with $19 rebate through them.

Just trying to let people know that MIMO really makes a big difference for multiple floors/difficult signal areas.

I used that dlink for a while, but then it went wierd on me, and I would have to power cycle it every couple of days.  That was after a year or so.

Got a good rebate sale on a motorola router at a comp usa sale, I have had to reset it once in about 6 months.

BTW, I live in a two story house, and the dlink was fine for coverage.

I have a Linksys router that generally works quite well.  I was wondering which of the various routers is least susceptible to interference by other 2.4MHz products like portable phones.   Any advice?  Thanks
