Dac modules
« on: 8 Feb 2023, 06:17 pm »
Hi James,

Is the same dac module used in the BP17 cubed preamp and the B135 cubed integrated?
Has anyone figured out a way to use USB with either of these units/dac board since they only have toslink and coax digital inputs?  An outboard converter maybe?

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,
You would need a USB to SPDif Convertor.
Lots to choose from.

The Topping D10s is one that doesn’t require a separate power supply.  I have used it as a full blown DAC and liked it. You can use it as just a converter if you have a better sounding Dac.

Plug a Bluesound Node via coax output into the B-135 DAC.  Sounds beautiful.
