BDP-3 set-up bafflement
« on: 27 Dec 2025, 07:32 pm »
Just set up a new (for me) BDP-3 streamer.

I've connected the BDP-3 to my LAN via Ethernet on one end and to a BDA-3 DAC via BNC SPDIF on the other.
The DAC outputs to a BP-26.

Then I named and activated the new BDP-3 in the Roon control software.

The operating lights show the Ethernet connection to the BDP-3 is active and the BDA-3's lights shows a lock to the input from the BDP-3.

The only issue is that when I play a track, I get no sound from the audio system.

So far as I can tell, everything is set up as it should be, so I am somewhat baffled at what to try next.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Thanks! Joel.

Can you see the BDP-3 from a web browser on your local network?  Play a file maybe then?

Yeah if you can get to the BDP via a Browser set the play mode to MPD and see if you can login to your Music service and stream.
