This is a hand crafted piece made in Germany. No circuit boards and all point to point, tag strip soldered design. The build quality is first rate and all but non-existent anymore.
It is a combo Linestage along with 3 phono inputs. The preamplifier offers two inputs for high-output sources (such as CD players or dacs), one input for low-level
line sources, and three phono inputs for MC phono cartridges. Each phono input is currently set up for 100 ohm. This can be changed by simply soldering another value resistor on the given input.
To maximize versatility, the preamp includes two (paralleled) main outputs and a monitor output.
The phono section within the “Super” (located in the right-hand side of the case) amplifies the MC signal actively (employing one PCC88 and two 12SN7GT tubes). The line stage uses one 12SN7GT tube per channel.

This preamp did experience some internal shipping damage when the owner shipped it. The on/off switch was replaced with the same exact part and works as it should now. In addition, some tag strips were broken/cracked in several locations. No parts were damaged and the circuit was 100% in tact. All solder joints were in tact and original. Strong two part epoxy was used to repair the tag strip breaks and all is now secure and strong. See internal pics. She works as new.
I took this unit on a trade and repaired it. I have a digital front end and thus this piece is not needed. See my feedback under grannyring on Audiogon. I modify/upgrade gear and build cables.
I have the original box and packing. I prefer a pick up or meet in the middle situation to avoid shipping this beauty. I live in the Nashville, TN area. Exterior condition is very nice as the pictures show. Overall rating reduced due to tag strip repair.
