i have build dozens of crossovers...and yes i could plop down my cash and order some caps and coils and solder them together. In fact i built my center channel using Danny's kit. Along with many many crossovers for peoples car audio installs and my own.

But in this case i was looking for a turnkey solution so that i would just "know" they were done perfectly. Problem i see though, is the inductors have no values printed on them...so some research would need to be done, or i mail all 3 pieces from one speaker to Danny for measuring.

Oh, I was assuming you'd keep the stock inductors. They're not ideal, but you may travel beyond your budget if you want a turnkey solution for a complete crossover makeover. Sonicaps for replacing the 15uF caps will blow through one-third of your budget estimate.

You might also consider the Skiing Ninja upgrades for crossovers.

i may need to keep the stock inductors, as i cant easily identify them. As for sonicaps...yes they are expensive, and i used them in the past and loved them, but i am open to going with "second best" here if needed.

That would not be a problem.

Those things are iron core slugs. I'd replace them with a good air core inductor. That will be a very nice improvement.

If you want to save a few bucks I can get you some good poly caps from Erse that are pretty inexpensive. Then just by-pass them with a .1uF 200 VDC Sonicap. Those small by-pass caps are only $2.70 each.

I am also looking to possibly repair, replace or upgrade my crossovers in my now pretty old Rockets. I have the Bigfoot RS200 and 550's. I haven't opened them to see how the original crossovers are doing, but my receiver keeps thinking one is out of phase even though wiring is correct. Not sure if that could be a crossover issue or something else. Also my center has been sounding muddy and hard to hear dialogue at times. Used to be crystal clear.

Any suggestions?

I designed upgrades for those models that went into the later production runs.

And there are upgrades that can be done to the upgraded ones as well.

Send me crossover pics and I'll know which ones you have and what can be done to them.

I have a question for you.  Like I mentioned about,  I found my RS750 to be muddy, not clear, not musical, some frequencies are muted or deleted, the sound field is NARROW focus..etc...  I found the Monitor Audio Silver series tower speakers sound to be amazing, smooth, musical, WIDE OPEN, detail...  I really like this type of sound.  My question is whether with the upgraded Ninja Skiing crossover designed by you, can the RS750's sound quality be any where near the Monitor Audio speaker's?? or would it be limited by the driver, cabinet designed?

Also from our previous conversation... I wasnt clear whether your design was a completed new/different pcb, or was it a upgraded capacitors, resistors??.  Like I stated earlier, I am not capable to assemble a completely new pcb board from components....  but Im more than capable of replacing the existing pcb with better/upgrading caps and resistors.  Please let me know.

Yes, that is about the way they sounded.

My upgrade fixed all of that.
