Entry Level Phono Preamp
« on: 19 Feb 2005, 03:27 am »
I'm looking to buy an entry level phono preamp and would like to keep the price tag below $200.  A guy at work strongly recommended the "Bellari VP129" that supposedly can be had for about $125.  I've been around audio for a number of years, but to be perfectly honest I've never heard of this brand.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.........Audio Nutt

make me a reasonable offer - this really is a decent fono stage; it works great w/my low-output ortofon mc25-fl moving coil...

You might check out the Hagerman "Bugle" battery or ac powered, can be configured for 40,50, or 60db of gain. www.hagtech.com cheers, D

I was just looking at the Bellari's specs   http://www.rolls.com/ and it only gives you 30 db gain. Kinda weak.
