I used it to solve a slight ground loop buzz coming through the USB, but was absolutely taken on much much better my music sounded. This unit is a real gem. I have owned several high dollar USB reclockers and the like and this unit has had the most positive impact on my digital front end. Music flows with greater intimacy and realism. It was like I upgraded my dac in terms of benefit. Only selling because I am looking at buying an ethernet/fiber optic based Lumin x1 and will no longer need this.
I am a cable builder and will include a fantastic sounding DC cable should you decide to power the Intona with 5vdc from a linear power supply. You don’t need to use an LPS as the Intona can be run passive with great results. If you add a power supply, then you will enjoy some gains in impact and dynamics. I used the wonderful Duelund stranded and tinned wire for this cable - 16 gauge. It is double shielded and a great add on should you choose to get a linear power supply. I sell my DC cables for $150, but will include it for free to the buyer.
