Very nice looking ultrasonic cleaner from China
« on: 7 Jan 2020, 09:05 pm »
So far, all the ultrasonic record cleaners coming from China have been some pretty DIY looking products, using the same 6.5 liter tank that is all over Ebay for $100.

This one, from respected manufacturer of industrial ultrasonic cleaners, Codyson, is a bit of a nice change.

And only about $400, including shipping.

I'm gearing up to get back into the vinyl game so I'm curious to know more about these cheap ultrasonic cleaners.

The primary thing to know is that they work- really well.  There is as much difference between an ultrasonic cleaner and a vacuum cleaner as there is between a vacuum rig and a Disc Washer brush.

Most reports are, cheap ultrasonic cleaners work just as well as the expensive ones, or at least very close.

Most of the cheap ones use the same ultrasonic tank, a 6 liter tank found all over ebay for about $100.

Then there is some motor/record holder device that is used along with the tank shown above.

Something like the Vinyl Stack.

Or CleanerVinyl.

Either way, they are much better than vacuum record cleaners.
