Dolby Atmos + Vision on Netflix

I bought a new TV for the man cave 55 inch TCL/Roku for around $400. It's a 4K TV and was my first experience with Dolby Vision. Have you noticed at the end of the credits in a lot of new movies they have a credit for Dolby Atmos + Vision? Well  on netflix they have a little dolby icon so you can spot that content when available. You won't see that icon without a dolby vision capable display.
I started streaming netflix TV shows that had dolby atmos+vision and was blown away that the atmos streaming was soooo much better than 5.1.

Watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in Dolby Vision format was almost like looking through a window. The detail and the costumes/makeup were so much more lifelike than 1080P.
I noticed more and more 4K content available on amazon too.
Setting up a room for atmos is NOT expensive or difficult, although it can be if you are so inclined. If you are streaming movies today take advantage, it is SOOO much better than 5.1/1080P and NOT expensive or difficult (unless you want to go that route  :o).

I have Panasonic Plasma 58" that is nearly 12 years old and refuses to die ( I have taken good care of it(A/C  Line conditioner) etc. Anyway last year when costco had a very good deal on Vizio Quatum P 65 " TV i decided to get it--  be it me or the family it was hard to discern the picture quality between the two at least with the eye , and since i wanted to get a 75" TV I decided to return it to Costco within their 90 day return Policy - kept enjoying my Panni although did not get a symbol that would tell me Dolby vision Dolby Sound  but Plasma has its own benefits in Picture quality -- Fast forward , the Price of 65" LG C 8 OLED went down So I grabbed one from Costco WOW ! now that is something I think I can replace my 12 year old Panasonic with.  It  has a true Dolby Atmos sound and of course the only way I know Dolby Vision  or HDR content is being playing is when you stream,  a little symbol comes up that tells you HDR/Dolby  content, I'd love to have the 75" C-8 but that is even at a discount about 5K so I will  enjoy this for the next 90 days and if the price falls again I may just replace this TV , but honestly I can live with the 65" LG - now what do I do with my wonderful Panni ! my wife does not want it in the Bed Room we already have a 50" 3D LCD TV in the bedroom. So I will just cover my beautiful Panni with blankets and keep it in the garage hopping the LG OLED will die and I can bring back my old Plasma TV. ! Cheers ! :thumb:
